I am trying to connect MRP Live to Orbits, but I encounter an error message No RMonitor Broadcast Found.
What do I do if MRP Live won't connect to Orbits?
- Verify that Enable Scoreboard Feed is enabled on Scoreboard Settings on the Distribution tab of Orbits.
- Verify that the IP address in Scoreboard Settings is entered in the MRP Live client under Race Data.
Note: If the MRP Live client is installed on the same machine with the Orbits Server, 127.0.0.1 is the most reliable IP address to use.
Note: Sometimes Orbits will list more than one IP address. When deciding which one to use remember that IP addresses starting with 169.254 known as link local IP addresses, typically indicate a problem with the network connected to that adapter. You will probably want to choose a different IP address and/or fix the network configuration.
- Verify that the TCP/IP Port in Scoreboard Settings is entered in the MRP Live client.
- Verify that the Scoreboard feed IP address is accessible from the machine running the MRP Live client.
- There are a number of reasons why a machine may not be accessible such as:
- A misconfigured router.
- An inaccessible network segment or LAN.
- A firewall or antimalware application is blocking the connection.
- A simple way to test accessibility is to use the Windows command prompt and use tracert.
- If the MRP Live client is on the same machine as Orbits, using a localhost IP address (127.0.0.1) in the MRP Live client (NOT the Orbits Server) will often bypass potential issues.
- There are a number of reasons why a machine may not be accessible such as:
