Adding Default Media Tags

This article explains the purpose and use of default media tags.

Purpose

Default media tags are a time-saving feature that allows site owners to set their most commonly used tags. This saves time when uploading new media by pre-filling the default tags in the Tag Items section of the File Manager | Upload Media form.

Usage

To use default tags, upload a new photo or video.

1. Select either Photos or Videos under Media in the navigation menu.
2. Click Add New.
3. In the File Manager, click Upload New.
4. This opens the Upload Media form where there are two pertinent options:

Set Tags as Default - Click this link to set the currently selected tags as the default set.

  Note: This will override the previously selected default tags.

Manage - Click this link to open the Default News Tags page.

 Note: This page can also be accessed from Account Settings | Data Filters | Default Media Tags.
