Problem
When I sign into my MRP Admin site I am immediately redirected to an address that ends with /myaccount/panel and the page displays a 404 error.
Why does this happen and how can I fix it?
Causes
There are two reasons why this can happen:
- The user attempting to sign in is only a Site Member on the network.
The 404 error occurs because users must have the role Standard Admin to sign into the admin site.
This is the most likely explanation.
Solution: Ask someone who is an administrator on your network to verify that you are a Standard Admin, then try signing in again.
Users and roles can be accessed in the admin site by clicking the Profile icon on the tabs list and then selecting Users on the left menu. This Help Center Article will show how to add another admin to your account.
- A second and more unlikely explanation is a conflict has occurred with the MRP authentication cookie. Occasionally there are issues with the cookie granted by MRP when a user signs in.
Solution: Delete the MRP cookie(s) and sign in again.
Deleting the MyRacePass Cookie(s)
-
In Google Chrome, click the padlock icon displayed on the address bar of the admin page, then click Cookies.
-
Select each myracepass.com cookie and click Remove, then click Done.
- Try signing into the admin site again.
Summary
Any time a user signs into the admin site and is immediately redirected to /myaccount/panel with a 404 error, first verify that the user is a Standard Admin, then try deleting the MRP cookie(s) and signing in again.
