Sometimes problems can occur that prevent the MyRacePass app from posting to Facebook. In this scenario one of the recommended resolution steps is to reauthorize the app. This article lists the steps for reauthorizing the MyRacePass app in Facebook.
Note: As of March 2019, the process of reauthorizing the MyRacePass Facebook app has been simplified. If an error occurs when sharing to Facebook or Twitter, the user will be presented with a link to reauthorize the app.
-
After attempting to share to Facebook, an error message appears.
- Click the link Re-authenticate Facebook App.
-
Check the box of each Facebook page that you want to interact with MyRacePass, then click Next.
-
Select the YES option for Manage your Pages and Publish as Pages you manage, then click Done.
-
From the Networks dropdown menu select the MyRacePass network that you want linked to the desired Facebook page(s).
-
Under Select Facebook Page(s), select each page that you want the option of sharing with MyRacePass.
-
You will see a confirmation message notifying you that it is okay to close the window.
- Proceed with sharing to Facebook again.
- If posting to Facebook still results in an error, it may be helpful to remove the MyRacePass app from the Facebook Business Integrations page and repeat the above steps.
