Reauthorizing the MRP Twitter App

Sometimes problems occur that prevent the MRP app from posting to Twitter. In this scenario one of the recommended resolution steps is to reauthorize the app. This article lists the steps for reauthorizing the MRP app in Twitter.

 Note: As of March 2019, the process of reauthorizing the MyRacePass Twitter app has been simplified. If an error occurs when sharing to Facebook or Twitter, the user will be presented with a link to reauthorize the app.

1. After attempting to share to Twitter, an error message appears.

    

2. If you have not already done so, sign into Twitter with the account that you wish to integrate.

3. Click the link Re-authenticate Twitter App.

4. You should be redirected to a Twitter page that displays the desired Twitter account in the top-right. Click Authorize app.

   

5. You will see a confirmation message notifying you that it is okay to close the window.

   

6. Proceed with sharing to Twitter again.
