This article outlines the process of adding races to an event in Race Management. In this document it is assumed that the user has already created an event with at least one class.
Note: Review Race Management Overview to learn more about the prior steps.
- Begin on the Races tab by clicking the green Add Races button.
Note: It is also possible to copy previous races rather than manually adding races. See here for details.
- Specify the race type.
Note: Result level is a required field for feature races and is not applicable for other race types. For example, use A Feature rather than Feature.
- Specify the race details in the available fields:
- To Add - Specify the number of races of this type that will be added.
- Laps - Enter the scheduled number of laps in the race.
- Tech - Enter the number of drivers requiring technical inspection for the race.
- Status - Choose the race status from a list of 8 options. In 99% of cases you'll leave the status as pending:
- Hidden - The race will not be displayed to the public.
- Pending - Indicates that the race lineup is not final.
- Line-ups - Race will be displayed to the public as a starting line-up.
- In Progress - Indicates that the race is underway.
- Completed - Indicates that the race has been completed.
- Unofficial Results - Indicates that the race is complete, but results are not yet finalized.
- Rained Out - Race has been canceled due to inclement weather.
- Postponed - Race has been postponed until a later date.
- Add additional races by clicking Add More Races.
- When finished adding races click Add.
- Add more races by either clicking the Add Races button in the top-left or by clicking the green Add button in each race type section.
- On the right side of each race is a pencil icon that opens a menu to edit or delete a race.
- After races have been added, there are additional race details that can be configured.
- Name - The name of the race. Defaults to the race type followed by a number. For example Heat 1, Heat 2 etc. The field is limited to a total of 30 characters.
- Sponsor - Add a race-specific sponsor with this field.
- Laps - Enter the scheduled number of laps in the race.
- Time Limit - Enter the scheduled time limit for the race, if applicable.
- Total Time - Enter the elapsed race time in this field.
- Tech - Enter the number of drivers requiring technical inspection for the race.
- Status - Choose the race status from a list of 8 options.
- Transfers
- Per Race / From Group - Specify if transferring drivers are selected per race or per group.
- Top - Specify the top number of drivers transferring in each race type.
- Next - Specify the next number of drivers transferring after the top selections in each race type.
Note: The number of Next fields will vary depending on how many feature result levels are being used.

Lineups
- Drivers Per Row - This field determines how many drivers per row are displayed on lineups.
Note: Qualifying races default to 1 and all other race types default to 2.
