The Purpose of this article is to show how to create a ticket package for multi-day events. There is no limit to the number of packages you can create, so if you have a 4 day event you could have a 4 day package, a 3 day package, and a 2 day package all associated with the same event. Ticket Packages work in conjunction with reserved seating as well, so if you have questions about building a reserved seating map, please email support@myracepass.com to get started!
Note: In order to apply a ticket package, individual events must already have tickets added. You can see more information on adding tickets at this link.
Creating a ticket package
To start, go to the "Ticket Management" tab and press Packages. From there, you'll see an add package button.
From there, you'll see a window appear that will allow you to name the ticket package, set availability dates for purchasing, and add any description information.
Note: Specific event dates and ticket types will be added in the next step.
Now that the package has been created, you'll need to complete three sets of information. The ticket Details, the Events, and the Ticket Types.
Ticket Details
- Name of the ticket package
- Availability dates to purchase this ticket package (It's common to have a package go live for purchasing before individual event tickets)
- Discount Type. In the event your ticket package price comes out to be less costly for fans than buying the individual event tickets for each date, you have the option to apply that discount evenly across all days in the package or apply the entire discount to the final day on the package. The reason for this has to do with refunds in the event of a rain out/cancellation.
- "Active" means the tickets are available for purchase. "Not listed" means they can be purchased but the link is not publicly available. You'd have to send these buyers a direct secret link.
- Any description you want fans to see when purchasing this package.
- A direct link to the ticket package.
Events
Click the "Add Events" button to bring up a list of events on your schedule that you want this ticket package to apply to. Keep in mind that tickets must already be added for that event, and if you need a ticket map built please get ahold of us to start that process.
Ticket Types
Click the "Add Ticket Types" button to bring up a list of ticket types you want to be a part of this package. Keep in mind the ticket types you choose here must match tickets being sold on the individual events.
