The purpose of this article is to explain how to add the option for ticket renewals through MyRacePass Online Tickets. This only works with a reserved seating map for seats, pit stalls, or camping spots.
This will be divided into three steps:
1) Export previous event data.
2) Import that event data into a pass list.
3) Apply that pass list to an event and send the codes out to your users.
Exporting previous event ticket buyers
In order to export the ticket data, you'll first need to access the sales report for that event. You can find more information about accessing that report in our Online Ticket Customer Information Reports article.
Once you are viewing ticket sales, you'll use the "Print Report" button at the bottom of the screen to view the "Tickets Report" option.
From there, use the export button at the top of the screen to "Import to Pass List." That will download a CSV file specially formatted for importing into a pass list, make sure to remember where you save that file!
Importing the Pass List file into a Pass List
The next step in the process will be importing those previous ticket holders into a new pass list.
NOTE: Someone at MyRacePass will need to link the map to the new event or season pass, and will also have to link the pass list to that map before this can take place.
Use the "Import Ticket Holders" option at the bottom of the screen to do this.
Once you've clicked that button you'll be shown a new window with 3 options.
1. Select File: Make sure to select the file you just downloaded with the previous ticket holders!
2. Generate Reservation Codes: Make sure this box is checked. This will create the codes you'll send to users to "unlock" their spot.
3. Reservation Code Expiration Date: This is the date the codes will become unusable and that spot will be opened to the general public for sales. Make sure to communicate this date to your potential renew-ers as this will be the date anyone can purchase their spot!
4. Decide if you want non-renewal spots to be purchasable or if you want only the renewals to happen.
NOTE: You can also manually add other entries to this list to block off spots or add more renew-ers by using the green "Add Ticket Holder" button in the upper left.

The final step is to send the codes to the folks who are eligible for renewals. There are two ways to do this.
1. Email the users directly. There is no mass or auto emailing tool in MyRacePass to do this, you'd need to email them directly with their code and the link to the map.
2. Use our "Export Email List" export to have a mass email tool like MailChimp or Constant Contact email the codes. To do this, use the button at the bottom of the screen to generate the file.
