If you decide to charge a fee for Online Registration through MyRacePass, we can now collect the funds and distribute to promotors via ACH, just like Online Tickets. This removes the need for promotors to have their own payment methods like PayPal setup, and streamlines the checkout process for competitors.
Note: For more on creating a registration, you can find a Help Center Article here!
Getting Paid
MyRacePass will automatically deposit funds for registrations into your bank account via ACH. ACH transactions typically happen on Monday, and should show up in your bank account in 2-3 business days.
If you use Online Tickets, the process is exactly the same.
Season/General Registrations
Season and General registrations will be paid out weekly, on each Monday, for all confirmed registrants who completed their registration by 4pm the previous Friday.
Note: It is important to note that only CONFIRMED registrations will be paid out. See more on Confirming a Driver Registration at the link.
Event Registrations
Event registrations have 2 payout options: After Event or Week of Event.
After Event Payments
When using the After Event option, funds are held by MRP until you've either confirmed or cancelled the event. This method allows MRP to handle refunds in pretty much ALL situations, since MRP will hold the funds until you have confirmed the event happened, or indicate a refund to all registrants is required.
Week of Event Payments
When using the Week of Event option, funds are held until the Monday before the event is set to take place. Funds will then be paid out to all confirmed registrants. Any registrations that come in after the first payout will be paid out on following Mondays (as long as they have been confirmed for 7 days).
This option give you the ability to get funds before the event takes place, but lets MyRacePass handle refunds for a longer period of time.
Individual Refunds
Once a competitor is confirmed, they can no longer be refunded. Similarly, once MRP has paid the funds to the promotor, the promoter is responsible for any refunds that may need to take place, regardless of if the event happens or not. If MRP has paid the promoter, and the event is cancelled, the promoter is responsible for making things right with the drivers.
Chargebacks
From time to time, customers will request a charge back from their credit card company. In theses cases, MyRacePass provides all necessary documentation to prove the charge was accurate. If a customer wins the chargeback and MyRacePass has already paid the promoter, the promoter will be billed the chargeback amount.
