Configuring a Season in Season Management

The purpose of this article is to outline the process of configuring a new season. For instructions on creating a new season, click here.

Note: Season Tracks and Season Classes are required in order to access other components of the season such as Registrations, Events and Points.

The Config component can be found by selecting the desired season from the season dropdown menu and clicking the gear icon in the top-left.

Season Information

Season information is the most basic information about a season.

• Year: (Read-Only) This is the main year in which the season takes place. This year is set when a season is created and cannot be changed later on. Event and registration dates are not limited by this field.
• Season Name: This is the name of the season used primarily within Season Management and is limited to 100 characters or less.
• Start Date: This is the opening date of the season. It does not need to be the same year as the Year field, but should be earlier than the date of the activities taking place during the season.
• End Date: This is the closing date of the season. It does not need to be the same year as the Year field, but should be later than the date of the activities taking place during the season.

Season Tracks

Season Tracks are the tracks participating in a season. Series networks can add multiple tracks, but track networks must contact support to request additional tracks.

Adding a Season Track

1. Click the button Add Track.
2. Select a track from one of the filters in the More Tracks dropdown menu.
   • My Tracks: Tracks that have been linked to the network will be listed here. Track networks should see their track listed automatically.
   • Season Tracks: This filter allows the user to select from the Season Tracks of previous seasons.
   • All Tracks: This filter presents a search field that allows the user to select from any track in the system.
3. Click Add.

Season Series

Season Series are the associations participating in a season. Because series are linked to specific classes, adding a series requires that those classes be included in Season Classes.

Adding a Season Series

1. Click the button Add Series.
2. Select a Series from one of the filters in the More Series dropdown menu.
   • My Series: Series that have been linked to the network will be listed here. Series networks should see their series listed automatically.
   • Season Series: This filter allows the user to select from the Season Series of previous seasons.
   • All Series: This filter presents a search field that allows the user to select from any series in the system.
3. Click Add.

Season Classes

Season Classes are the classes participating in a season. Track networks can add multiple classes, but series networks must contact support to request additional classes.

Adding a Season Class

1. Click the button Add Class.
2. (Optional) Click the link Manage Classes to view the Current Classes page. This is where you can configure the classes that appear under My Classes and other class settings such as name overrides.
3. Select a class from one of the filters in the More Classes dropdown menu.
   • My Classes: Classes that have been linked to the network will be listed here.
   • Season Classes: This filter allows the user to select from the Season Classes of previous seasons.
   • Sanction Classes: This filter allows the user to select from a list of classes belonging to a specific sanction.

4. Click Add.
